What is the cost of training?

You are eligible to enter our training program with no personal cost to you, given approval by a VR&E counselor to attend our training program.

What if I have no experience in electronics?

Experience in electronics can be helpful but is by no means required. About 60% of our candidates enter the program without experience in electronics and have no issues securing employment in the industry. Companies value quality training programs like VAe that transfer fundamental concepts to hard working individuals that can come in immediately and make positive contributions.

How long is the training?

Training lasts 5 months.

Training includes 3 phases. Phase I and II focus on both class and lab room training.

Phase III focuses on employment. In this phase our advocates assist with resume preparation, interview skills, and leverage our relationships with employers to find our students careers that are looking for VAe trained and certified electronics technicians.

How do you assist with career placement?

Every student is assigned a Veteran Advocate. The advocate’s job is to work with you to ensure your success in our program. In the final phase of our program you work together with your Advocate to prepare your resume, sharpen your interview skills, and leverage our relationships with employers to find our students careers with companies that hire VAe graduates.

What is the placement rate?

8 out of 10 of our graduates are gainfully employed within 6 months of graduation.

What types of careers can I expect to have as a result of this training?

Our graduates go on to work in the electromechanical world is roles such as: electronics technician, calibration technician, test technician, automotive electronics technician, solderer, electromechanical inspector, electromechanical assembler, wire/cable harness technician/assembler, machine technician, avionics technician.

We are currently located in three areas: Providence RI (Headquarters), Cape Canaveral, FL, Orlando, FL, and Hartford, CT.
