In honor of the men and women who have served our country, Veterans Assembled electronics is offering a full scholarship to a deserving veteran. The winner will attend VAe’s 4-5-month training program and, upon graduation, have the opportunity to be paired with a career in the electronics industry.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

To qualify for this scholarship a veteran must:

  • Have been honorably discharged
  • Be interested in a career in the electronics industry
  • Establish a financial need
  • Be able to commit to a 4-5-month training program (40 hrs. per week for 15-20 weeks) at our VAe site
  • Be located in or near the Concord, NC or Providence, RI area
How do I apply?

To apply yourself or nominate someone, provide:

A maximum two-page essay as to what drew you to this opportunity and why you feel it is right for you, along with your personal contact information (name, address, email, and phone number).

What is included?

The scholarship covers the cost of tuition (books, lab expenses, uniform, and certification tests). In addition to the training program, students will be paired with an Advocate who will provide career placement assistance.

If I am not eligible to apply for the scholarship can I still attend VAe?

For those who are interested in our program, we recommend speaking with an Advocate and setting up a tour of our facilities. Doing this will allow you to get a better idea of the program and speak with an Advocate about what your options are as far as attending the program.

Yes. To nominate a deserving veteran:

  • Ensure they meet the qualifications listed
  • Provide a maximum two-page essay describing why they deserve this opportunity

Where are you located?

VAe currently has 8 sites: Hartford, CT; Framingham, MA; Melbourne, Orlando and Belleview, FL; and Fort Bragg and Concord, NC. The only VAe locations offering this scholarship are VAe Concord, NC and Providence, RI.

When will I be notified?

The recipient of the scholarship for our North Carolina site will be notified December 19, 2018.

The recipient of the scholarship for our Rhode Island site will be notified November 20, 2018.
